Parliament Street Dental Surgery offers a range of comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry. There are two surgeries which are kitted out with the most modern and up to date equipment. Both surgeries are fitted with intra-oral Xray machines and there is a separate Xray room which houses an OPG machine which takes a panoramic view of the mouth. The Xrays are digitally processed and within seconds can be brought up on the computer screen in each surgery and shown to the patients during treatment plan formation.

 Maeve O'FlynnMaeve qualified from UCC and worked in community dentistry and general practice in Cambridge, UK. She gained much experience in all aspects of dentistry and was awarded the Greer Walker award.She returned to Ireland and worked for the HSE before going on to establish her own practice on Parliament street in 1994. She offers a comprehensive range of treatments with a strong emphasis on prevention. She enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and is particularly interested in children's dentistry and the management of nervous and anxious patients.Maeve is committed to continuing professional development and attends numerous courses.She is a past secretary and president of the south eastern branch of the Irish Dental Association and continues to be a member. She is also a member of the Irish Faculty of Primary Dental Care.

 

 

Hygienist : Linda Maher

Linda MaherLinda is a qualified dental hygienist with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the Dublin Dental School and Hospital. She specialises in preventative oral hygiene and works under the prescription of the dentist to provide deep cleaning, root planing and is licenced to administer local anaesthetic. She instructs patients on the most suitable tooth brush to use and tailor makes a home regime to suit each individual patient according to their needs. Linda regularly attends hygiene conferences and courses to upgrade her skills, and in Kilkenny she is highly respected for her calm and gentle approach to patients.
